Life can be challenging at times! At some point in life, everyone could use some extra help and support. I offer a safe place to discuss your unique troubles and challenges. I can support you in making the changes you desire, achieving your goals, and improving your quality of life.
I work with individuals, couples, and families who desire more happiness, connection, and satisfaction in their lives. I feel that I have a warm and interested working style. I specialize in working with multicultural issues, LGBTQIA, non-traditional couples and families. With me, you can count on a therapist who is knowledgeable, non-judgmental, and reliable to help see you through your unique challenges.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Western Washington University and earned a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Antioch University Seattle. Together we will decide upon the goals and directions we would like therapy to go. We will periodically check-in about these goals to access our progress and determine the length of therapy. I work with my clients with a strength-based approach to therapy. I am trained a wide variety of therapeutic approaches, and rely heavily on those supported by scientific research. Among these are; Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Family Systems Perspectives, Neuroscience, Mindfulness, Multicultural Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), and many of Gottman’s concepts on couple’s therapy. I am a member in good standing of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the Washington Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (WAMFT).
